Guidelines for Events and Concerts
(as of March 29, 2022)
Opera Birmingham continues to monitor federal, state, and local COVID guidance, as well as guidance and best practices developed by the performing arts industry across the country. Our goal is to bring entertaining performances to our patrons while providing as safe an environment as possible for the audience, artists and staff.
To that end, the following protocols are in place for our upcoming performances:
Masks are optional, but encouraged, for all indoor events.
Advanced ticket sales will be sold online or by phone, and tickets will be issued as “print at home” (no physical tickets will be mailed). Patrons should print out their tickets before coming to the performance, or have the tickets available for access on a smart phone.
Program notes are available to patrons digitally.
If you are experiencing ANY COVID-19 related symptoms, we ask that you DO NOT come to an Opera Birmingham event. These symptoms include but are not limited to: fever (100.4 or above), headaches, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, fatigue, new loss of smell and/or taste, chills/shaking. If you are exposed to someone who has tested positive or you have tested positive yourself, please follow the latest CDC guidelines.
Opera Birmingham will continue to monitor CDC guidelines, other governmental requirements. Our protocols may be modified as new information becomes available. Updated protocols will be emailed to all ticketholders prior to each performance.
